A joyful start to life
Immediate newborn careColostrum first: ensure quality colostrum within the first 2 hours (and again within 6–12 hours) to deliver antibodies and energy.Warm, dry, and clean: navel disinfection, dry bedding, and shelter from wind and rain right after birth.Rapid assessment: check breathing, temperature, and vitality; provide immediate supportive care if needed.
Comfortable housingIndividual hutches or small-group pens with dry, deep bedding (straw, wood shavings) to keep calves warm and comfortable.Plenty of sunshine and fresh air with shelter from harsh winds — we orient housing to maximize sunny, protected spaces.Temperature management: shades and fans in summer, insulated bedding and windbreaks in cooler months.
